Malton Muslim Youth Club (MMYC)

This program has been designed for the children in our Muslim community in collaboration with the city of Mississauga, and for the city to recognize our efforts in the community. The “Malton Muslim Youth Club” (MMYC), catered to Muslim children for two groups from ages 5-16 and 17 and older. Our program started September 2006, and now we are successfully running both day and night classes from September and ending in March.
MMYC was put together as a non-profit, non-political and independent organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of Malton's youths, at all level of age and competition, through the sport of hockey, soccer and basket ball. Many of our Muslim brothers and sisters both mature and young volunteered their time to work with our children to help them develop their sporting skills. More importantly, it is to create a sense of community and leadership within our community. Our goal is to generate fun and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport.
